Im horrible at this!

So its been quite some time since I have blogged. Wish I had a good reason why but I don't! Lots has been going on. We will start back in......October 2012. We finally got a house "on post" which means its Government housing. Our little neighborhood is cute and I really like it. All military so I feel safe. Technically we are not on post but we are so much closer to Felix's work and other things on post. In December, Felix left for his 2nd tour in Afghanistan. Its a shorter deployment this time so Im happy about that. We get to talk to him quite a bit and see him through Skype, I think that helps Chevelle. She will get super emotional after he ends the call sometimes and it breaks my heart. The day that Felix flew out I found out we were expecting baby #2!!!!!! Talk about a super emotional day! Going from super sad to extremely happy all within a few hours! We kept the news from family until I had been to the dr and things looked good. Both of our families are super happy and excited! A few days before our 5 year anniversary I found out we are having a BOY! That was a good present! I am 23 weeks along and getting super excited! I love the change of buying boy things compared to dresses and sandals and bows! Other than that we haven't been up to a whole lot else. A couple of fundraisers for the company Felix is in. Not a whole lot of turn out but oh well, we are trying!

Chevelle showing off her stickers from tumbling class!

First time at the Dentist

We had LOTS of hotdogs for the fundraiser

Chips also!

Chevelle flying her kite with G-ma and G-pa

My girly girl! She loves dresses. (not sure how to turn it)

Love her hair!

Well for those of you who read this, hope you enjoy! I will try to be better about doing it! Have a great day!

Way to long!

I have no idea how many of you come and check my profile hoping for something new and its the same thing...every time! SORRY!!!! Well I figured it was time to update a little. Not much has been going on here in El Paso. Chevelle will be 3 in 2 months. Its hard to believe I am going to have a 3 year old! We are still in the potty training stage. She is getting the hang of it, she just wont tell me when she needs to go potty. Kinda frustrating. Im not making this as an excuse but it doesnt help with all the traveling we have been doing the past few months. Its been pretty warm down here and we only have a swamp cooler...makes for a grumpy me! Last July I was put on the waiting list for a house here at Fort Bliss and we are finally down to 157 on the list!!!! Insane, I know! we used to be up at 800 so we have made progress! Hopefully in September we will be able to go look at a few houses that are available and move on post. It will save us quite a bit of money and I believe they have GOOD a/c! Plus we will be surrounded by all military (not always a good thing) but it will be nice to have kids around Chevelle's age. We just got from our summer vacation a week or so ago. It was fun to get out of here for 2 weeks. We had a wedding to attend, lots of family to visit, birthdays, skydiving, new friends, and lots of miles covered! Over 3000!!! A few months ago Felix sold his car and bought a Jeep Patriot, he loves it. He custom built it and it was a huge pain in the rear but he is happy with it so thats all that matter, I suppose! A couple of months back I decided to get more involved with our company FRG (family readiness group) by volunteering to be the Fundraising Chairperson and also the Co Treasurer. My first fundraiser was a family movie night and I was so proud of myself I had a local movie theatre donate 5 free passes and 75 lbs of popcorn were donated for this event. That night walking into the event I expected to see tons of people there ready to chow down on some popcorn.....THERE WERE 9 PEOPLE THERE!!!!! We still have popcorn left over from that and it was in May!!!!! It was a learning experience for sure. The Battalion that Felix is in is gearing up for a deployment so he has been a busy man! This will be our 2nd deployment as a family and I am so thankful that this time I am only a few hours from my family instead of acoss the ocean! So I think that is about it for now....hope I didnt bore you to death! I will try to be better at this for the people that do read it...and if you do happen to come back maybe I will have pictures!!!!!

Keyword: trying

So I come from a mother who is extremely crafty and witty! She is great at making things look cute! For example, she did ALL the decorating for my wedding...flower arrangements and all. You would think that some of that talent would be passed on to me....well I got about 0% of it! Most of it went to my brother! He is an artist! Anywho, I, like most of you have been on pinterest and though about making super cute projects and bake delicious looking foods. I get so excited when I go to Wal Mart of Hobby Lobby to pick up the supplies, I rush home and get started. My first attempt was to make a canvas picture. I didnt want just a white background so I got some scrapbook paper and cut and snipped the paper to fit the canvas. I applied the Mod Podge and put the paper on (all while chevy is running around me screaming and the hubby is nowhere in sight to take the crazy child off my hands) so I took the canvas and stuck it in the spare room and left it overnight...the next morning I went to see my creation and I was....no so pleased! The paper had bubbled and such so I figured the canvas was out. I went to Lowes and got a 12"x15" board, then to Wal Mart to print off a big picture of my parents with Chevy. I then covered the edges with scrapbook paper and put the picture on the front....it turned out alright! I should have had the board cut a little bigger so you could actually appreciate the borders but oh well....you live and learn right?! My next project was the Birthday in a jar....cake things! I should have bought the neon food color but I didnt. So the colors I got were more pastel colors. I can say though that I had lots of fun mixing and coloring and all that! I would love to work in a bakery! Im a huge fan of D.C. Cupcakes and Cake Boss....all those shows! They amaze me! I think I will try more of the baking pinterests!

Before baking. I liked the colors!

After baking, they didnt turn out as expected but I was still pleased with them!

You cant really tell the designs on the edges. Now I know better for next time! Hope my mom likes it!

Other than these we have not been up to a whole lot! Finally settled down here in El Paso and so far we really like it! I am able to decorate the house how I want and I am loving it!!!!! We have a big fireplace in our living room and cathedral ceilings so lots of wall space! Our centerpiece for the living room is a poster that Felix got from their deployment. It has lots of centimental value to him so we got a custom frame made for it. We will get that in December. Being an Army family you tend to steer towards patriotic decor...well I do anyways! I love being an American and I love being an Army wife! I wouldnt trade it for anything! Til next time.......Adios!!!!!

Our last few days...

So as of today (August 5, 2011) we have 1 week left in Italy! The movers came today and packed up all of our appliances and kitchen stuff, and a few duffle bags of Felix's stuff. While watching them load it into the truck it really hit me. The past 3 years have gone by in a flash, I really dont know how it passed by me that quick. Alot has happened since the day I arrived in Italy. Lots of new friends, became a volunteer, pregnancy, softball coach, a baby, year long deployment, lots of training rotations, lots and lots of traveling! It seems like we were always on the go but now that I sit and think, we didn't see even 1/3 of the stuff we wanted to. The few places we were lucky enough to see includes Vicenza (since thats where we live), Verona, Venice, Milan, Rome, Garmisch...and there are others up in Germany. I would have loved to have gotten to Pisa, Cinque Terre, Paris, and there are so many I cant even remember! Its been a fantastic 3 years! I think the main thing that is making me the most sad is Chevy leaving the only home she has known. Big changes are coming our way and I am so excited for them! Lots of stress comes with these changes! I just need to relax and roll with it! I will try to update again soon!

Its been awhile!

Chevelle is ready to move!!!!!!
Chevy and mommas cake! (now that I look, I dont think its smart to have an open flame next to a large can of hairspray)

The Colosseum

My mom and aunts came to visit us in May

Ok so I seriously thought nobody ever read mine so I never updated....glad to see someone does (kelly) Lets see.....things have been crazy lately! Softball ended in May and I am so relieved, I dont think I would have coached much longer. This year was just totally and completely different. It amazes me how little respect the younger generations have. I understand people get upset sometimes but you dont call your coaches stupid and say they dont know how to play the sport. Then some of them had problems not being the "captains" of the team. Kinda takes me back to my senior year when people just thought they rocked and had to be captain. What made it even more difficult was having Ms. Chevelle!!!!! She loved being out there with all the girls but if I walked 10 feet away from her she would throw herself on the ground and start crying. She knows how to get my attention. But anyways, the girls ended up doing horrible at Europeans so....thats that. Soon after that, about 2 days before my birthday felix had to head to Germany to do some training. I was so bummed that for the 2nd year in a row he had to miss my birthday. So me and Chevy baked a cake and did the whole shebang just us! She had fun taking the candles out of the cake. Its weird, when felix is home we go to bed at a decent time and I usually wake up about 8. When he is gone I cant seem to get myself to bed before midnight and wake up around 9. I dont know what it is. For the 4th of July here they had 1 food booth....which was ridiculous how expensive the food was!!!! 11 dollars for a hamburger, small thing of fried, and a teeny tiny drink.....OUTRAGEOUS! then they had a few rides for kids, which you had to pay for in euro to ride. then they had some booths where you could do kid projects for free but the lines for those were super long. I understand we are living in Italy and this is Italy's base but the 4th of july is an AMERICAN holiday, I dont understand why the Italians were invited onto post to celebrate this. The people here can be so mean, they do not know the purpose of a line!!!!!! felt like i was in kindergarten again "hey, you butted!!!" good thing i had a stroller, i could push my way through, people dont like getting hit in the back of the legs with a stroller! There are so many people here (americans) that didnt like the idea of them coming onto post. The terrorist threat level was high, great way to increase it more! Luckily no one was harmed! The fireworks....those were a different story! This was the first year that they have had fireworks in a few years so everyone was so excited. They were going to set them off on top of this big hill about 3 miles away from post....well as soon as they started it was a huge disappointment. There was a huge building in the way so you couldnt even see them. I was so sad. Chevelle is almost 2 and has still not seen fireworks, poor deprived child! A few days after the 4th Felix had to leave again to go do more training in Germany, he said it was so cold up there with lots of rain. Sounds not so fun to me! Then again I would have traded him, here in Italy it was soooo hot and humid. I dont do good in humidity, I get really cranky! He just got home a few days ago and then they will leave again soon to head to Ukraine to do training up there. I guess this is going to be a super cool training. They will get to jump out of planes with other countries. Its hard to describe all this Army stuff to others that dont know much about it. Felix is just really REALLY excited for this! As soon as he arrives back home we will start clearing. We already have appts for the movers to come and pick up our stuff. I love that the Army pays for all this stuff. The movers come in, pack EVERYTHING and send it off. The only downside is that you wont see your stuff again until about 2-4 months later. So you have to pack your bags ahead of time to make sure you have everything! I guess the only thing I really have to do is pack mine and Chevelle's bags, clean the fridge and oven, and sell the car. Thats the big thing for me is selling the car. I am just so excited we are finally to this point! It has been awesome living in Italy, we have gotten to see some cool places we probably would have never seen before. Chevelle will be able to say she was born in Italy! There have been ups and downs. Im sure I will cry the day we leave our house and friends but its going to be the end of one chapter, and the beginning of the next...which I am absolutely stoked for! In the next chapter of life we will be doing some vacationing in Utah and California to see both of our families, weddings, finding a place in Texas, and just being so much closer to all the people we love! Wow, this was my longest post ever!!!!! Hope whoever reads this enjoyed hearing about my life! I will try to keep it up to date!

La vita di recente in Italia

Ms. Chevelle being the little diva she is!!! She always has to have shoes on her feet, some kind of weird obsession! I think she is going to be an addict to shoes, she already has more shoes than me and felix put together....although, i am to blame!!! A girl can never have to many shoes!
Amanda showed me the Picky Palate website and lately I have been trying out some of the recipes! This is one of the chili recipes on there...my first time ever making chili. It was DELICIOUS!!!! I altered the recipe a little but it was still great!

Some of our friends over here in Italy asked us to watch their girls for a few hours. This is Gabriela (8 months) she is such a cutie!!! And she is sooo tiny! But I believe that Chevy was getting a tiny bit jealous of her daddy holding the baby, so she took over his lap when she had the chance! She is such a daddy's girl!

Not sure if many of you watch news and stuff with the President and all of that. I believe in November he announced the first living Medal of Honor recipient, Sal Guinta. Well, Sal is in the same company as Felix so we have had the honor to know him personally. At our 2nd battalion ball in January we got a picture of him and felix together! We are so proud of Sal!

This picture was taken in January when Felix reenlisted to stay in the Army. He signed for another 3 years on needs of the Army. We finally just got our orders this week and we will be moving to Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas later this year! We couldn't be happier! I have enjoyed life here in Italy, alot of good things have come out of it but we are ready to be close to our families! I will GLADLY take a 10 hour car ride over a 10+ hour plane ride!!!! I cant even begin to tell you the stress I have trying to fly back to Utah with a 17 month old child. So hopefully we will get to see all of you more often!
Here in a few weeks the softball season will be getting underway. I am excited. We lost one of the coaches this year so its going to be alot different. He was the only male coach and alot of the girls are not happy about him moving but hey, its the Army!!!
I also have family coming to visit me in May, I cant wait! I have been dying to have people come and see my life here in Italy!
Anyway, that about all for now!!!! Ciao Ciao!

Guess who's home?!!!!!!!!!

WE ARE FINALLY A FAMILY AGAIN!!!!!!
WHAT A DADDY'S GIRL!!!!!

Me and Chevy waiting for the bus's

Lots of people waiting for their loved ones!

Its been a long 12 days of November.....but I finally got a call that daddy is coming home!!!! We decorated the stairs, put up posters, got all dressed up and went and waited at the post gym for the arrival of 200 soldiers. We waited about 2 hours and finally they all made their way into the gym!!!!! Once they released all the soldiers everyone scattered and I, still standing in the bleachers, could not find my husband ANYWHERE in the crowd. I stood there a good 3-5 minutes waiting for him....and there he was!!!!!! It was so exciting and a great sense of relief to have him home! Chevy immediately started smiling and went right to him! She didn't leave his arms until we had to get in the car and leave. She fell asleep by the time we got home, it was a long and emotional day! I think she was getting a little jealous once we got home and mom was talking to grandma and dad was talking too and all the attention was directed some place else. But today she is loving her daddy silly!!!!! She is not a girl that is a cuddle bug but she cant stop hugging on her daddy! I love seeing it! Now he has to go through reintegration and work should be kinda slow for a little while. We are excited to come home for Christmas....last year wasn't fun at all but this year I am super stoked! We will actually be home on Christmas day, daddy will be there with us, and hopefully the rest of the family will be there too! It still doesn't seem real to me that he is finally home!!!! I know you wont read this, but I love you Felix...more than you will ever know!

WOO HOO!!!!!

So, its that time of year....time for the leafes to change colors, the weather to get chilly, the halloween decorations up, its all just so exciting...but thats not what all the excitement in our house is for. For us its lots of smiling ladies, little kids saying dada, poster making parties, lots of meetings....ITS TIME FOR REDEPLOYMENT!!!!!! I can (in a few weeks) say that I survived a year long deployment!!!! I still remember the day Felix left...he had 4 hours from the time he got the call to have everything packed and be in to work...that was not a fun time. Chevelle was only 2 days shy of being 3 months old. You get to spend those last few hours with them, sitting around thinking about whats actually happening, then time for formation and you know, that is your time for final kisses and hugs. Watching my husband kiss his baby girl goodbye was the hardest thing for me. Those first few days...you just dont know what to do with yourself, then came Christmas....I did not get to be home in Utah for this because Chevy's passport didn't make it in time so it wasnt a very happy or fun day. Chevelle has changed so much in the past year, its amazing!!!! Right now she is getting in her other top tooth, she is walking, eating by herself, she is just so much fun!!!! I cant wait for her daddy to be around so he can watch her do new stuff! All the new babies on post....you wouldn't believe how many there are. I just cant wait to see all of the wifes and kids, the expressions on their faces when their husbands/daddy's step off of those buses!!!!! I have to admit, I probably wont be watching them, I will be looking for my own husband!!!! I am so blessed to have an amazing husband. We love you Felix and are so excited to finally have you home!!!! I was going to post a few pics but it wasn't being nice!!!!

AAFES Cutest Kiddo Contest!!!!!!!

AAFES official statement!!!! (read below for details!)Chevelle's contest photo!
So here a few weeks ago, probably the beginning of June I saw an ad in our local newpaper about a cute baby contest that AAFES (army and airforce exchange services) was holding. I decided to put Chevelle into it just for fun!!!! If was over Facebook so that was how you viewed all the babies/kids (newborn-5yrs) pictures and you also voted for them over facebook. Well at first me and another girl from my husbands company were having a friendly competition against eachother! Then after that it quieted down. Once I told my mom about it then she was on the ball and started getting lots of votes. 2 weeks before the contest was to end they announced the top 5 babies with the most votes....and there were about 1500 or more babies in this contest! Baby #1:Bailey, baby #2:Avah, baby #3: Caideync, baby #4: Eden, & baby #5: CHEVELLE!!!! I was so excited but I knew that I had to start getting lots more votes if I even wanted to catch up to the leaders. I started asking everyone that I had on my friends list to go and vote! My mom was doing the same back home and so were lots of friends and family!!!! Can I just say....this contest turned into something truly ugly!!!! People started saying that their baby was WAY cuter than another baby, profanity was slung, hate mail was being sent....it got way out of hand! 4th of July weekend it was mainly between Chevelle and Caidynce....I think we were only a few votes difference. Then another fight broke out....not with me but a friend had said something to the other mom and then it got really bad! Luckily it ended and somehow one of the other babies had caught up and passed both of us. I decided to go and look at her votes....alot of the accounts were being made up. the only thing on them was the site you go to vote on. There had been about 100 or more that they had made up. Lets just say that started another big argument!!! I told "TEAM CHEVELLE" to be the bigger team and just not say anything, we were going to win that thing fair and square! Once that happened everyone went crazy getting votes!!!! It was late here in Italy so I decided to go to bed and the next morning when I woke up it was about 11 minutes after the contest had ended and my neighbor had wrote me and said that we were in the lead but the AAFES site had not come on and verified the winner. It was a long day waiting to hear something....then I got a message....It was the lady from the website and she asked me to call her and verify my identity to be a potential winner of the contest. I called....and of course they didn't answer so I had to wait even long then finally the call back....WE HAD WON!!!!! It was so good to hear!!!! Needless to say, cheaters never prosper! Chevelle won a new Peg Perego stroller and carseat worth $600!!!!! Im sure she will grow out of them soon but it will be VERY handy for the next baby to come....that wont be for a little while!!!! But again, to all those that helped get votes and who voted.....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
(i tried to put the other pics down here but they went up to the top)
I am excited for the next few months, I fly home in a few weeks. Then its the big reunion thing for MHS, Im super excited for that. There are alot of classmates I haven't seen since graduation! Then not much going on in August then in September.....I FINALLY GET TO SEE MY HUSBAND!!!!!! After 9 1/2 months I finally get to see him again, I cant even tell you all how excited I am!!!! Well, that is all for now. Hope to see you all very very soon!!!!

Just a lil something

My softball girls...the season is almost over.
I tried to rotate it but guess it didn't work!

She is always so photogenic!

So last post Felix was in a promotable status, he has now made his Sergeant!!! We are both very happy about that! He is doing good. This week marks the 1/2 way point for this deployment! I am so happy its half over...but then again we got another 6 months to go. Oh well, its starting to get very warm here so hopefully the time will fly by! Ms. Chevelle just hit 8 months! She is getting so big. Crawling all over the house. Pulling all the dvd's out. Pushing all the buttons on the dvd player! She always keeps me on my toes! And the high school girls softball season is just about finished. We have a set of games this weekend in Aviano then next week they are headed up to Germany for Europeans! Wish I could go but I dont have anyone to watch Chevelle. I wish them all GOOD LUCK!!!! Well, thats about it for now!

My big girl and Mr. Promotable!

Felix in Afghanistan
So just recently Felix went to the board and he passed which means that he is now in a promotable status to become Sergeant! We are hoping by next month he will for sure have it! I am so proud of him! Only wish I could be there to pin him! Imiss you felix and love you so much!

She is always such a happy baby! Everytime she sees the orange light on the camera she has to smile! She is now 6 months and 12 days old!!! Wow, how time flies! She is becoming a PRO at sitting up by herself. She still topples over now and then but for the most part she is great at it!

I decided it was time to buy a bouncer! She is one baby bouncing fool! Even when I take her out now she is jumping on my lap! As you can she she has way more gadgets than she can handle! She is also getting GREAT at typing on my computer...until she rips my keys off then she has timeout from the computer for a few minutes! She is such a great baby and she keeps me company! I am so happy to have her with me everyday! She can always make me laugh, even when she is having a hard day! The weather here in Italy is getting so so nice! Most days its in the high 60's! We just started softball too! The girls are great and we have our first game this coming week. I won't be able to make it but I am wishing them luck! More updates to come....not giving any dates cause I know I wont make it on time!

Its time to update!

She was such a good sport takin these pics!
Can you tell the snow was deep?!

My little pink cammo snow bunny!

She is always all smiles!

She reminds me of Boo off of the movie Monsters Inc.!

Well, I figured its about time that I post something!!! I just thought I would update you all on whats going on in our lives! So, I will start with my husband leaving. He left in the middle of December to Afghanistan. That was one of the worst nights I have ever experienced. He was supposed to leave 2 days later but that afternoon at 4 we got a call saying that he had to have everything packed and be in to work at 9. So everything was packed and I was bawling the WHOLE TIME! When we got to his work we took LOTS of pics of him and chevelle. They are all so dang cute. I would post them but they are on my other computer. (they are on facebook) The time finally came that we had to say our final goodbyes. I was completely nauseas when they told everyone to get into formation. There was me and about 5 other wifes there. Just watching our husbands walk away from us in formation not being able to look back or anything was one of the hardest things I have ever had to watch. Needless to say, the next few days got better and better. It has now been 2 months since he left and the time has sped by! I don't mind the least bit, I wish it would go by faster! We are able to talk to him most every day so that is good! I always look forward to his call! Chevelle is now 5 months old!!! How time flies, holy cow! She is attempting to crawl now and she gets so mad! Its funny to watch her! We missed christmas and new years with the family cause we were waiting for Chevelle's passport but we finally made it to Utah on January 12th. Chevy did awesome during the plane ride, she didn't cry once! Everyone was so helpful during the flights! We head back to Italy in March. I will be so sad to leave my family but I am so excited to get back to coach Softball again and im gonna start going to the gym with my friend Natalie. I am so thankful for the friends I have in Italy! They are all going through the same things as me. They understand if im not in a good mood or they help out when they know your havin trouble, I think its an Army Wife thing! I am so thankful that I met Felix and I am so proud of what he does. He has given Chevy and I the best life we could ask for. He is a great husband and dad and we love him more than he will ever know! I can't wait until he gets to come home on his R&R!!!!! Only 8 more months!!!! To most people they think it is insane but its just one of those things we deal with! Well, I posted a few pics of Ms. Chevelle!!! Hope you all enjoy. I will try to update more often!

P.S. If any of you have skype add me to it and we will be able to stay in touch! my screen name is rodriguez8587.

2009

So, where has this year gone? I can't believe we are already in December! I still remember New Years and hanging out with my brothers and husband. Soon after we got back to Italy we found out we were pregnant and a short 9 months later ms. chevelle was born! I used to not mind the time flying by but now I don't. I don't want my little girl to grow so fast! I do have to say, I hope this next year flies by really fast so that I will be able to be with Felix again. Chevelle is getting so big these days. She holds her head really steady now and she has started wanting to sit up. Thats her new favorite position. I am stressing out a little for the 15 hour flight back home for christmas! We bought a baby carrier (the kind you wear and they sit facing you or away from you) and i put her in it and she cried the whole time, it does not make me feel very good! It will be interesting though. Hope they don't kick me off the plane! Anyways, we will be home for a good long vacation so we hope to see most all of you!

okay, so i know it has been like 4 months since i have been on here. of course most of you know what its like being a new mom. and of course it doesn't help that we don't have internet at our house. so by now you all know that i had Chevelle! she weighed 7lbs7oz and she was perfectly healthy! felix will be leaving soon for deployment and christmas is coming up so we will be home for that. i don't have alot of time to write so for now that is it. here are a few pics to enjoy until then!

July leave

So its that time again, time for an update! On June 24th I got to fly home to Utah. Talk about a long flight. It was supposed to take me 20 hours with all the layovers but ended up being 25 I believe. I was so happy to finally land in Grand Junction. My brother Chet and parents were there to get me and it was SO good to see them! Its weird going back to the states after being here for so many months. I would go to bed at 12 or 1 a.m. and then get up around 5 or 6 a.m. The first week that I was home it was just nice and relaxing. Seeing a few friends here and there. It was so good to see Amanda and her family, I can’t believe how big all her girls are getting. Especially Shaydin, since I have never seen her before! Thank you Freestone’s for coming to see me. July 1st Felix was supposed to fly in and we were going to head out that night to California to see his family. Well, his flight did not go so well. The airline had lost his luggage and it was still in Paris so we had to wait an extra day to get his bag. Meanwhile, I had come down with a horrible cold and had to go to the hospital. I was psyching myself out that I had gotten the swine flu so I went to the Dr. and he ran tests and nothing came up. So I was relieved about that. Friday we headed out for Cali. I was actually not a bad trip at all. We left La Sal at 6 a.m. and arrived at his moms house that night about 10:30 p.m. She was so happy to see us. I was just glad to be in Willows and finally get our motel room. Being sick and riding in a car all day totally takes its toll on a person, especially a pregnant one! We spent the next few days with his mom and brother Sal. Just kinda being lazy and relaxing. We also got to see his other brother Raul and sister Maria. I met a few more of his family and friends I had never met. They all seemed very nice. July 6th we headed to Healdsburg to see my big brother Tyler. It was good seeing him and we also got to meet his new “friend” Danielle! She was awesome, and yes, she passed the sister test! We went miniature golfing and went on the go carts and just had a very fun time. I was sad to leave his house but we had a long journey back to Utah. On the way back we stopped and had lunch with 3 of my aunts and some cousins, great to see them also. That night we decided to stop in Wendover and get a suite! Woo hoo, it was nice! Kinda like the honeymoon we never had! It was a good trip and we were both relieved to get back to my parents house and just totally crash. Tink (my moms dog) was SO EXCITED to see Felix! They are like bestfriends! The next few days we just went to Moab and hung out with family. Went fishing on the mountain and all that fun stuff. My mom decided to throw me a babyshower. It was so cute! We had lots of fun and I got a lot of good stuff. I was luckily able to bring it all back except for the car seat I got which will come in handy when I move back in a few months. Thank you to all the ladies that came and had a good time! The trip overall was completely what we needed and we were so sad to leave. Our flight back to Italy was very good. Short and sweet. Back to the grind and the humidity, yuck. I have to admit though that I was very homesick the first night we were home. Our house just seemed so lonely and boring. The next day I had a Dr. appt and Felix was able to come with me this time so it was good. I had lost 2 pounds but the doctor said everything looked good. The heartbeat was between 145 and 155. I am going on 34 weeks. I can’t believe how fast this has gone by. Everyone told me in the beginning that it would feel like it took forever but I don’t think so. A few more weeks and our lil girl will be here! We are both getting really excited! Now its time for my parents to come to Italy! They only have a few more weeks to get everything ready! I am sure we will have a good laugh once they land. Nothing like an international flight! I can’t wait for everything. Well im sure those of you who read all of this are getting sick of it so I will go for now. Here are just a couple of random pictures from the trip.
P.S. We also got to meet Chets “friend” and she is awesome! They look good together! She passes the sister test also!
